Is Education to blame???

While I was enjoying my fav pastime ( channel surfing ), I just happened to stop and watch this program on NDTV where they were discussing the DPS Delhi incident. The panel consisted of some 4 people from different fields. But the main aim of the NDTV rep seemed to be " to revamp the educationa and schools".

I liked the way one of the audience has put it " Our parents were brought up in the presence of their grandparents and the moral values were inculcated in them by grandparents rather than parents. As kids they had time and scope to look at adults and learn from them. In these days of nuclear families and media onsalught, what we see is immorality everywhere. The air is filled with immorality".

I think this guy is hardly 18 but has made a valid point. "The air is filled with immorality".
Mostly in cities , with both the parents working, kids have no option but to watch television or spend time with friends. There is none to tell them right from wrong. The media is setting benchmarks for "cool, hep and hot " stuff. No wonder kids are confused to differentiate between morality and immorality.

But, the NDTV guy was not ready to accept the fact that Media in one or the other way responsible for this declining moral values. That is only some 25%. However, the major contributor in building up moral values is "family", nothing can replace it. We can send our kids to the best of the schools and they can get the best of companions but nothing can replace a good , well bonded family.

The "DPS" incident has become popular by the name but it is not right to blame the school. The incident didnt happen in the school premises and the school never asked the parents to provide their kids with "well( ill )-eqipped" mobiles. The families failed to imbibie values in their off spring. The affluent families might not care much about such things. The kid got admission into another school within days. So, how did this new school admitted him??

There are many issues that we need to address to prevent this menace of adoloscent indulgence. We cant blame only one of the factors for the raising levels of immorality. Only one of such incidents came into public and we dont know how many are indulging in such things. Are our teens going the "American Pie" way??

If we are attempting a revamp, we need to do it to the entire society and its way of existence which I think is a herculean effort. However, if each and every family tries to upbring their offspring by the values which are truly " Indian" I dont think the task will be really Herculean.

Too manythings....!!!

Yeah, there are too many things I want to write about here.
First about my another blog, then about my weekend trip into Jungle, about the comeback of Sachin and the mum of media whenever he scoores , about the great MS ( Subbulakshmi), Arsenal Vs Chelsea EPL match....

First and foremost, congrats to Sachin and Anil Kumble for achieving milestones.
But stands above all these is Indian Media which just hyped Anil Kumbles' ( with due respect to his greatness on Indian soil) record, didnt even have enough time to broadcast Sachins record. Just a headline which says "Sachin goes past Sunny". They behaved as though it is nothing significant. Some 2 weeks back, the same media cried " Is god past his prime?" the taunt being " Sachin is go no more". Why did they dedicate some 30 min for a survery about the falling greatness of Sachin? If they care so much, why couldnt they spend some 10 min on his 4th double ton ? I have been observing this trend from the past 1 year that Indian media has been makingmuch noise when a Rahul Dravid scores even 50 and comes up with headlines like " the wall stands tall" , " The invincible wall" . But, when Sachin makes a 50, it is not enough. He is lost his class. Everyone knows about the hue and cry Indian media made about " it is time for Saching t retire" and sentences like " Sachin doesnt win games for Inida and he is very selfish".
Hello...are the other 10 players in Indian team doing Charity there? Are they sporting saints??
Indian media has become the most dangerous than Pakistani terrorism in J&K. What a terrorist can achieve ? They can kill and masscre people. But , what is our Media capable of ?? Well...there are no limits.

Any sane person should be able to understand the role of media in many controversies.
Take a look at Kanchi Shankaracharya's case, take a look at Godhra violences, take a look at anti-HIndutva capmaigns, take a look at our Indian Sports scence..
Everywhere you wish to see an unbiased, knowledgeable, balanced and critical Media..but what you see is a biased, self interested, over critical, sycophantic and pseudo - secularist media trying to impress the Colonolists and self proclaimed democrats ( als US of A).
I love to see one news paper or one TV Channel that is not against Hinduism in India.

Well...coming back to sachin Tendulkar, he has already achieved what any other cricket player living today cant even dream of achieving. What ever he does will be a record from now on. People might talk about Matt Haydens, Ricky Pintings or Jack Kallis...but they are no where near Sachins' class. Give him bowlers like Glenn McGrath, Gillespie and Shane warne and Sachin will win every match for India without any Rahuls and Souravs. There is not end if I continue to write about him.....

Coming back to football....itz again a let down by Arsenal defence against Sepieces. Two fantastic goals by Thierry Henry could not help the Gunners as their defending again gave in to some standard shots. Now, every opponent know where to hit them...this is very very dangerous....

One of the Greatest Carnatic vocalists , the great MS passed away. She made the " Bhaja govindam " of Shankaracharya more mesmerising and enchanting, she gave a new style to "vishnu Sahasra namam" and " the almighty in Tirupati wakes up with her Suprabhatam". What else a human being can pray for?? She really is the brightest jewel in the crown of Carnatic Music. Though I dont like the way she sang some of the Telugu keerthans , her pronunciation of Sanskrit is just amazing. May her soul rest in piece .

The cruising Champs!!!!

Real Madrid blasted into the Knockout stages of UEFA Champions League in style.
A Ronaldo opener and two second half goals from Luis Figo proved again that you cant keep them calm for a long time.
English Champs Arsenal, cup holders Porto, English Leaders Chelsea, Liverpool ...all into the next stages.

Barcelona, AC Milan , Jeventus reached the next stages well before the completion of group stages.

February 2005 will witness some royal battles. I wish my fav teams reach the quarters and RMFC lift the cup again for the 10th time.

Go Real go and go Figo go.....................

well.....!!!

I ve been going though many blogs in the past 2 weeks. So many different thoughts , many different opinions.....it just makes you wonder how much people like to express their thoughts.
But one thing that has annoyed me is the stand taken by the progressive educated youngsters in the Kanchi Shankaracharya case.

Most of them dont have an opinion. They wanted the Law to take its own course. So, what can we infer from this? Is it that todays' globalized youth has become too meek to hold an opinion or is it that they are not speaking their own hearts here? Or is it that more than 20 years of education has taught them to be neutral in such aspects? Or is it the effect of the " congress" party designed education that has been nurturing our younsters from the past 50 years? I was really surprised to read that most of them are either not bothered or dont have an opinion.

Someone even pointed the flaw in the argument that the manner in which the seer was arrested was not proper. His logic was " because some criminals are enjoying royal facilities in jails and some are not even arrested, we cannot ask the accused ie Shankaracharya to be treated in a decent way". Yes, I agree with that Rational thinking. However I have my own doubts about the entire case.

People who are talking about the Law to take its own course, where were they when Karunanidhi was arrested and the supporters took to streets in response.
What Law are we talking about when the President of India granted Clemency to some Child Molesters because they belonged to the so called "dalits". Isnt a Child- Rapist a criminal if he is from a "previlleged " caste?
Is this the same Law which couldnt prove any case against the reigning Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav?
Is this the same Law which couldnt even send summons to J Jayalalitha on many cases?
Is this the same Law which couldnt even get any clue about the "Bofors" scam by the most respected family of India?
Is it the same Law which couldnt even look at the Imam in Delhi who utters whatever he wants against India and blatantly supports Pakistan?
Is it the same Law which hushed up the "Murders" that happened in Puttaparti Ashram some years back?

So, who are we asking our Shankaracharya to try?

Arent we missing something here? Arent we asking goons and criminals to investigate a crime?
Arent we leaving the socienty and our age old institutions at the mercy of bandits and scamsters?

Well!!!! I have only one answer...

Most of us pretend to be Secularists...and in the efforts to prove that we forget that we have misconceptions about secularism. Secularism is respecting other faiths, living hormoniously with then and sustaining your faith....not licking their feet, not endorsing whatever they do ..neither giving them special previlleges...

India has already suffered enough due to this Pseudo Secularism....I wish atleast this generation realised the past follies and stood up to face the evil of political-fundamentalist-colonolist axis.

This link gives some incites about the case http://in.rediff.com/news/2004/nov/24flip.htm

Trade with Terrorists!!!

It is expected of the congress govt to have a soft corner for our belligerent neighbour Pakistan. After all it is the legacy of the two great men of the country namely M.K. Gandhi and JL Nehru and our Congress party is still living in those dark ages where power comes just through inheritance.

Now our so called Prime Minister has been very busy trying to negotiate peace with Pakistan. As a part of it he wants India and Pakistan to get involved in mutual Trade. Here I have my own doubts. Trade of what???

Yes, what do we trade with Pakistan??? I am very good at formulating conspiracy theories. So, what this vilious brain tells me is that Pakistan is running out of manpower for their deomestic industry ie Terrorism ( Anyone has doubts abt this???). So, they are finding it difficult to get people from India by crossing the border which is guarded. So, they pretend to be in good terms with India and amass a pool of man power that is required to create pandamonium in Kashmir and other parts of the country. Then Gen Mush will claim that inspite of his efforts for peace in the J& K region, people of Kashmir are not happy. So, it is better to conduct a Pelbicite here and decide which country it should go to. How does it sound??? Once Mr. George Bush Jr receives his Nobel for restoring peace in Iraq, the Nobel committe will nominate Gen Mush and Indian PM Sonia Gandhi ( errrr....my GK is poor....isnt she the PM of India????) for Nobel.

A story of another European coming to India and serving its miserable people and winning Nobel. You all know who is the first one. Yeah , many people in India treat her as a messenger from God...I beg to differ. She is one of those europeans who declared to the world that India is a country of poor people and the senile oldie in Rome immediatetly obliged to beatify her.

What a finish????

Tsk Tsk Tsk!!!!

Leisure is a wonderful thing. I realised it in the past 2 weeks while enjoying my absence from work. It feels good to lay stretched in the bed and watch some old football match wondering what to do once the match is over.

Coming back to present season:

Barcelona played like gods in the Spanish league match against Real Madrid and I have never seen Real Madrid having some 35% posession of the ball. Simply, Barcelona outperformed Real in every aspect of the game. The Ronaldinho jaggernaut just floored Real 's defence. That glaring mistake by Roberto Carlos.. what do I say about that? You dont expect that from Real Madrid.

Then came the next draw of Champions League.

Luis Figo missed a Penalty against Bayern Leverkusen. How could he afford to do that?? Wasnt he aware of the gravity of the situation? They are on the verge of being thrown out of the tournament. RMFC out of Champions League in the first stage itself. Can you imagine that???

Last year we had a boring Champions league with two worst teams Monaco and Porto reaching the finals. No...I dont want it to happen again. May some miracle send RMFC through to the next stages!!!!!

But the good news is that AC Milan struck 4 times and that too without Scheva...wow...that is something great.

Ups and Lows!!!!

Ups:

1. Real Madrid scoring 6 goals in a spanish league match.
2. AC Milan keeps winning.
3. Arsenal back to winnning.
4. Ronaldo back into roaring form with those fantastic two goals.

Lows :

1. Barcelona losing 1-2 to Real Betis.
2. India losing to Pak after scoring 292 runs.
3. The arrest of Shankaracharya of Kanchi.

Tha last one being the hardest of all. It raises the questions again. Would have they arrested a Muslim leader in the same fashion? Some Bukhari of Delhi with so many cases on his head, have they ever tried even to question him??? A congress govt with pseudo secularists and Nehruvian Stalinists as allies ...what else can you expect from them? Most of the so called " sophisticated Hindus " dont react or they are too afraid of speaking. Because they dont want to get involved in anything religious. But , what they fail to recognise is that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of Life. If the very roots of that are shaken....well can that happen???

Many times in the past , ruthless barbarians and foreign invaders tried to kill the very roots of Hinduism. That onslaught gave birth to people like Adi Shankara. They came , they inspired millions and they re-stablished the ancient "Sanatana Dharma".

Many barbarians came and looted the holy land , they all presihed but the land prevailed, the culture prevailed and it will , forever. This doesnt come from a blind faith or irrational emotion. If mankind is alive on earth , the only way it can survive is by Virtue and in harmony with nature. And , which other way of life engulfs these two tenets other than Hinduism.

Quoting Mr. Bhagwan S Gidwani

" Hinduism is the Law of life, not a dogma; its aim is not to create a creed but a character and its goal is to achieve perfection through varied spiritual knowledge which rejects nothing and yet refines everything , through continuous testing".

"....Yet a Hindu must remain strong and united, for he must know that no external , outside force can crush him, except when he is divided and betrays his own ...."

Vicious Waters!!

Water- The life giver , the fountain head of all life.....isnt this an ancient perception?? That very water has become so vicious that people get scared to drink "unknown " water.

I see some people in my office who doesnt even drink water that is availble here in the office premises. This water is certified by diff govt bodies as fit for human consumption. Still, people dont want to take risk. They drink only boiled water or mineral water. They are so health conscious that they dont even eat sweets and some other fat rich food. I really wonder at their capacity to control taste buds. I cant resist a sweet ...I just tield to the temptation.

But, most amazing thing is these health conscious , clean water conscious people gulp bottles of alcohol without any second thought. A life on earth which is scarred of water and assured about the good effects of Alcohol.

Itz cool to drink...I hear this many times. What do I do? I am a tee-to-taler who doesnt know the good effects of alcohol and not much about escorting home a girl who is drunk ;-)

I can write pages about this topic...but ..drinking is a personal choice..everyone has their own opinions.....after all everything is personal choice...what is nota personal choice????

Our friendly TOI is lamenting that the sales of alcohol has decreased in Bangalore this year when compared with last year. Dont worry, our Bangalore Times will come up with more photos regulary of many so called " celebrities " with "drinks " in their hands and write "cool " things about them. So, the " wanna be " cool people will gulp more and more alcohol meanwhile helping the brewery business to grow.

I wish all of you a very happy Deepavali ( southindian) or Diwali ( North Indian istyle ;-) .

He is Back!!

Mr. Bush is back to the presidency. The world will hear more of "fight against evil " and " peace in middle east " withouot bothering why the crude prices are going north. Unites States of America like Queen in an Ant Colony. All the ants feed it so that the Queen is healthy and kicking. In a similar way, economically, the entire world is completely dependent on US of A . The entire world is working hard to keep US of A wealthy and happy. We have already seen what happens to the world if something happens to US of A. At the same time world should be watchful about who is formulating the policies of US of A. Because the presidential seat of US of A has always been like a stone in a madmans' hand. An unbroken chain of Paranoid presidents have wreacked havoc on the world and made it what is it today.

In the context of this , Mr. Bush is worse than any of his predecessors. His war mongerness is the reason he won the elections again. Nothing can beat the insecurity feeling of an American.

Our politicians reaffirm the people that Indo-US relations would be good as usual. But a keen observer has his own doubts. Were they good ever??

What should India do? We need to get away with this US dependency on outsourcing, textiles and in whatever way possible. We should look for avenues where we are self sufficient not only agriculturally but also technologically. India has never been an innovative country but Indians are. Many great inventions that happened in US of A involved many outstanding Indians. Hope India can retain the domestic talent and nurture it towards its own prosperity.

When a rich man has granades along with money, it is better to keep away from his money.

Back to Football

The Barca Vs AC Milan Champions league match was a spectacle in itself. A new god of Football is making his intentions clear. Ronaldinho , the way he inspired Barca to win against Milan was awesome. If you can break the defense guarded by Maldini, Nesta and Cafu twice...you achieved some thing really great.

Rudd Van Nistelrooy made amends to his disgraceful taclke of Ashely Cole at Old Trafford by a record equalling 4 goals in a single match.

Real Madrid are scoring well but they are conceding. I think they need to address that issue.

Tha Champions League is geting hotter as it should.

The Unknown!!!!!

every now and then a fire rages from the depths of a futile weariness; ever hungry to eat away
whatever comes in its way but rejecting each and every offering that tries to calm it down;the
inferno breaks free and kills all the existing tenets of life and existence;it is accentuated by
the perptual feeding of what? where? why? where from?; a colony of grey cells powered by a
conscience without a known source, try thousands of extrapolations to check the advance of the
inferno...alas...the grey cells soon realize that the inferno is more rational than anythings
else they come across...
a flash of liberation appears but it blinds the eyes with its brightness; meanwhile the grey
cells realise that they already lost time in the race to unknown goal; never knowing where , why
, what for...
an illusiory marker demarcates knowledge from ignorance; never asks knowledge of what? but the
race is never ending, full of baits and mirages...in the name of subduing the inferno...the grey
cells mistake the mirage to be a river ..the fountain head of life..
existence for the sake of existence...running for the sake of running...a reality that is like an
illusion or an illusion that is like a reality...
a state of weariness, confusion camouflaged by a sense of knowing, groping in the dark
misunderstood as journey towards perfection...
chaos ...utter chaos...but ignorance is bliss...the grey cells just ignore the chaos and this
gives birth to another chaos..
a fusion or fission of the spirit;road to perfection or the road to perdition...

Yesssss....I wrote it....but still dont understand what I wanted to write and what I ended up with...

Torn apart!!!!!

I want to do so many things, at the same time dont want to even think of many other things.
I like to do this, this, that ,.....so many other things...which one should I do first??? will I be able to do all these at all?? with all these thouoghts in my mind, I think of writing something...but the interest dies off in seconds because I want to do something else...eventually I end up doing nothing....many things are half done and they need to be completed...there is no time to do all these things...errr....I should say I am too lazy to strecth myself to make all these effots...it is not a case of " there is no inherent zeal to do all these things" .....

only good thing I am doing these days is reading. 2 hrs of bus journey everyday is facilitating this good habit of reading books. I am lost in this book related to Aryans and their origin. Finished some chapters and the books seems to be worthy of investing some time....

You wish many things to happen the way you wanted it ....but it cant happen that way always....
one needs to accept reality and go on with it...I wanted Arsenal to thrash ManU but..some shameless and pathetic refereing saw Gunners being thrashed by ManU....hope that the retrun match will be good and Gunners will come backl with their guns blazing and thrash ManU....

However, Real Madrid is cruising along...they are on the way back to their for and Michael Owen is learning to play with all the other superstars....the icing on the cake is that Ronaldo started scoring......

and, Barca....what do I say abt them??? Some conventional football wisdom says that if you like Real Madrid you should hate Barca evn though they play well....

well...I cant do that when I see one of my fav players Ronaldinho giving some classical touches....he is a footballing genius...no doubt about that......

I dont like the present ManU team but I like Christiano Ronaldo....he is another Figo in the making...I see a propspect for Real Madrid...

Cominig back to my lost love....that is Indian Cricket...I dont want to write about it...because simply there is nothing to write. The Indian cricket team seems to be lost in some wilderness where there is nothing like "professional Cricket " exists. Well, hope that good days will return to Indian Cricket!!!!!

The world is getting ready to witness another farce . A tussle between two great fools to test who is the bigger fool. Yeah...I am talking abt US presedential elections. How does the end result matter? Every US president is hungry for Oil and human lives irrespective of whether he is democrat or a republican. But the real jokers British. You should see the way Tony Blair is reacting to US Presidential elections. Man...these Brits are ......I dont have words to describe the utter contempt I have for this contry. They are the people who have sold their souls....it reminds me of the story of Dr Faustus and Mephistophilus. Now US is on the verge of deciding who is going the be the next Mephistophilous....either Bush or Kerry.....

Back to Books!

Davinci Code - Dawn Brown
The Alchemist - Paul @#$%% ( I cant pronounce this guys' name )
The Wisdom of Rishis - Mr. M
The Indian Philosophy - Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

These are the books I finished reading in the last 4 weeks. The collection seems pretty strange, isn't it?
Davinci code is another mystique bullshit with lot of rhetoric about some unknown Mary Magdalene. The author says that worship of this lady is superior to the worship of Christ, couldnt understand why. But, the main plot is to damn the catholic church and prove that they kill people to maintain the sanctity of the Church. An utter bullshit to increase the sale.

The Alchemist : I couldnt understand why this book has become so famous. It is again some unpractical and utopian thought about everyones' childhood dreams and some legend ( I dont even remember the name ). It is one of those utter nonsensical books which I have read and regreted later that I wasted my time.

The Wisdom of Rishis : Yes, a great book. I really enjoyed reading it. Inspite being a muslim, the author tried to understand the Upanishads and give incites in to various subtlities. He doesnt talk about things which are nihilistic...but speaks about real things and explains why they are real. There is content and the logic is concrete. I suggest this book to people who have some interest in Indian Scriptures.

The Indian Philosophy : Disappointing!!! very disappointing. Dr. Radhakrishanan disappointed me a lot. He wrote a book which will satisfty the Europeans a lot. He presented a European point of view rather than an Indian point of view. He depended on European authors to prove the facts, which are ultimately not facts at all. Especially , he repeats the Aryans' migration from Europe or middle east to India. It really makes me wonder, how much are we conditioned to accept the precepts put forward by Europeans.

If such a great culture existed in so called Mesapatomia or any where else and they migrated to India for various reasons, why dont we see any trace of such civilisation or culture in any part of those countries or continents. Even the latest findings about river Saraswati and other Indus valley civilisations tell us that there was no invasion of India by so called Aryans. This is again another trick of the White Man to belittle India and its ancient civilisation to keep his inferiority or superiority complex intact.

Yeah, nationality matters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a letter from a German national to the editior of TOI.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/875870.cms

Apropos of 'It's time we learnt good manners' (Times Counterview, Oct 5), it seems fashionable for the Indian elite to run down India and all things Indian, including manners. I am a German, and have met many Indians who never tire of praising Germany, but have nothing good to say about India. Frankly, I recoil at such behaviour. There are well-mannered and uncouth people everywhere. Why do Indian intellectuals have to pick on the worst specimens to berate India. As far as I'm concerned, India stands tall among the 40 countries I have travelled to.

Maria Wirth, via e-mail.

Had this letter been from an Indian, it would be in a distbin by this time ( errr...recycle bin).

Ofcoure, whatever Ms. Maria says is true. Indians never had self respect, esp the so called Secularists and Intellectuals. For them , anything White is superior and anything Indian is cheap. Sad that this has to be taught to us by some foreigner. Yeah, our Intellectuals listen to the words of foreigners becase Europeans are wiser than us...they know all...isnt it true my dear Editiors of TOI??

Ofcourse Eurpoeans and Americans do not show any repect towards India, nuthing surprising because we dont have self respect. We equate self respect with Religious Fundamentalism....:-D
When an American is proud of being an American , it is his self respect whereas if an Indian is proud of being Indian either he is an RSS( VHP) follower or someother religious fundamentalist.

Way to go India.........................

Marketing sympathy as a Camouflage!!!!!

It is quite surprising to see how good are Americans at exploiting a tragedy to camouflage thier ulterior motives. Was just going through an article by one of my favourite columnists Rajiv Srinivasana.
http://in.rediff.com/news/2004/sep/28rajeev.htm

When the towers fell, I certainly hoped that the US would finally understand what the rest of the world, particularly India, has undergone for years, facing terror in the streets. But I was a little sceptical even then; and three years later, it is clear that America's 'war on terror' is really not a war on terror as in the dictionary meaning of those words. This alleged 'war' is a different animal, and there are two possibilities as to what it is.
The first possibility is that 'terror' is defined as 'that which hurts American interests.' Note that this does not necessarily mean attacks on American persons except insofar as it affects grand American interests. Note also that 'American interests' are broadly defined, for example as in 'oil that lies under other countries, but that America would like to own.' But it certainly means that attacks on other countries, even on the one that for archaic reasons calls itself 'Great' Britain, do not count as 'terror.'
The other possibility is that there is no 'war' at all, but sleight-of-hand, intended to create the illusion that America is doing something to protect its people. For, it is abundantly clear that the nations most involved in terror are Saudi Arabia (financier), Pakistan (enforcer) and China (proliferator of nuclear weapons and missiles). But all three are staunch American allies. I wonder, which Houdini conjured up a 'war'?

Recently, when many school children were killed in a terrorist attack in Russia,

the Economist magazine, had to say about the matter (Another Siege Ends in Bloodshed, September 4, 2004).
Among other things, it says the following:
The Chechen issue is a local problem, not a global one
The separatist struggle results in part from past cruelty shown by Stalin to Chechens
'Black widows', Chechen women whose relatives were killed by Russian forces, are a major part of this attack
The Russian security forces made a mistake, again, as they are incompetent
Russia should seek a 'political solution' to this problem

I liked the answer Mr. Putin gave

"Why don't you meet Osama bin Laden, invite him to Brussels or to the White House and engage in talks, ask him what he wants and give it to him so he leaves you in peace? You find it possible to set some limitations in your dealings with these bastards, so why should we talk to people who are child-killers"

Are you listening Mr.Bush?, Ohh...if you listen also you wont understand. This is all too much for your miniscule cerebellem...all you know is Oil and Dollars at the expense of human lives.

"Fan"aticism - Redefined!!!!!

Have been a sports freak right from childhood. Played cricket like more than 6 hrs a day till my 10th standard. When it rained..the obvious choice was Football. Never knew any rules of the game other than penalty and corner kicks. As I grew up, I developed lot of interest in the game and read about many legendary players. Then came ESPN and Star Sports and gave a chance to watch the beautiful game. I used to get a glimpse of my fav player " The Legendary Diego Maradono" only once or twice on DD. But, ESPN and Start sports provided the chance to see some other great talents.

As I started watching European Leagues regularly, I started liking some of the teams because of some great players. Real Madrid, AC Milan, Barcelona, ManUnited and most recently Arsenal.

But, recently I happened to know about some new definitions of "supporters" or " fans".
If you like one team, you should support them irrespective of the way the play. This is normal and acceptable.

With the slew of "f" words and "b" words into India, the "fan"aticisim took new shapes. People started hating any team other than the team they support. They started abusing players who play for other teams. Someone went to the extent of defining a " fan" as an opposition basher rather than supporter of their own team. This reminds me of the incident that happened last year when Figo shifted to Real Madrid from Barcilona.

So, I wonder whether it is the frustration that the team they like is losing or not playing well at that moment. The self proclaimed fans are ending up with only one option " name calling". I still wonder when would I see genuine fans who could appreciate the greatness of the opposition.

Coming back to the weekend football...

What more would I say about Gunners in this season. The 4-0 win against Charlton Athletic says it all. Henry was in fantastic touch.

But, ManU disaapointed ( again, it is not that you should like either Arsenal or ManU. They are not mutually exclusive. :D )
It still beats me what happened to RvN. He missed almost all the brilliant passes of CrN. Boyy, CrN was a class, I see another Figo in the making. Great going for the youngster.

Real Madrid lost once again in the Spanish League , this time to Deportivo. Praying god that they wont lose any game this season. What happened to the fire that was there in the Champions League match against As Roma?

Desaffronisation of Textbooks- some suggestions :D

" We want to desffronise the textbooks " quoted some old jerk in the paper. I have some suggestions for him.
1. Let us teach our kids that India was occupied by British becaue Bible teaches them to serve other humanbeings and British took the onus of improving the poor in India. So, whatever we are today is because of the great deeds done by the British and Italians ( Ma'am Sonia is still extending her great services to our country)

2. Let us tell our kids that calling yourself Hindu is fundamentalism. You should be ashamed of being a Hindu because you are in India which is a democricy and you should respect other religions who ll ultimately kill you. When a person of other religion kills a Hindu, he freed the earth of a fundamentalist. Where as a Hindu ( you never know who is the killer ) kills someone else, you shoule ask UN and US of A to interfere. Entire world will support you.

3. Let us write in our text books that Hinduism is full of superistitions where as others are purely rationsl. One of them is a fatherless child and another one is formless. Yes, how can a God have parents. Doesnt it make sense?

4. Let us write in our text books that there is nothing called Indus Valley Civilisation and River Saraswati. It is only that some of the foreign tribes came to this place and we are all successors of Europeans.

5. Let us teach them that Muslim kings like Moghuls developed India by making Hindus pay tax for growing hair. Obviously, they made you cut your hair.

6. Let us teach them that nothing much has happened during the reign of Guptas, Chalukyas and Pandyas. They were mere local kings. Assuming that Samudragupta spread his emprire from Himalayas to Malasia is Hindu fundamentalism and it might hurt our Eurpoean and Muslim brothers.

7. Let us dedicate more chapters about "new" religions ( it still beats me why this old jerk used the word "new") like Christianity and Islam. Bachhon, Christian missionaries give us money to do all these things. Isnt money important in our lives ???

8. Let us not mention anything about Vedas, Mahabharatha and Ramayana in History books. The children might believe it. How can any man on earth can compose something like Vedas.
Human beings can compose only things like Bible, Khoron etc.

9. Let us teach our kids that Bhagath Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose , Chandra Sekhar Azad etc are terrorists and they tried killing our Eurpoean brothers.

10. Let us not mention the Jallian walah Bagh incident in our text books. It might make our children hate Britishers.
Here we have another option. The Jallian Walah Bagh incident might not have happened. Our Brtish friends are good Christians who go to Church everyday. So, they couldnot have killed so many people. The incident might have been cooked up by Hindu Fundamentalists.

11. Let us tell them that VHP and RSS are terrrorist organisations where as Hizbul -Muzahuddin, Al Quaida , Laskhar -e- Toiba and CIA etc are all Charitable organisations who show people the way to repsectable deaths.

12. Let us teach them that US of A is the only country in the world that is without any religious fundamentalists. What all they care about is the prosperity, their welfare plans transend boundaries.
E.g. Look at countries like Iraq. They were ruled by people like Saddam and US of A release the country out of his clutches. Now Iraq is a free coountry with lot of Peace and organised way living. Let us encourage US of A to do some more Iraqa. Who has Oil, next????

Let our kids be ashamed that they are Hindus( Fundamentalists ).
Let us invite our brothers from Vatican to baptise all the people in India. After all Hinduism is a dangerous faith, let us convert the Brahmins first rather than the backward classes.

Any missionaries listening???...Can you do it??

Midweek Mazaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It cant get anyting better than this. It is worth staying awake till 2 AM on the Wednesday morning. A Champions League football match that saw the return of the Lions.Yes, Real Madrid roared back to form with a 4-2 win over Italians AS Roma. In another match, the English giants ManU thrashed the Turkish Champs with 6-2 win.

The Real Madrid team looked like they were going to lose again after the conceded 2 early goals. But the Legends didnt give up this time. They came back with vengence. The second half was completely dominated by the Champs as the ball hardly crossed Reals' midfield. Raoul scored twice in his own class, but you should watch Luis Figo. He was in a class of his own. The way he criscrossed through the AS Roma defence is a joy to watch. Then, the Master , he showed some extraordinary ways of balancing the ball and some of the best passes.

Withstanding the boos from the fans, the Brazilian superstar showed his class in that goal scoring free kick. It just zoomed past the defenders and the goalkeeper. Ronaldo tried a lot but he seemed to be tired. I think he is preserving his appetite for the forthcoming matches. They were looking like scoing some 10 goals. Though some pathetic refereeing lessened the charm, it was real real great football.

In another match, which was a no doubt joy to watch , ManU's debutant Wayne Rooney entertained everyone. This boy had a great debut. 3 goals in a match, that too in your debut match is not everyone can do. But, what amazed me most was where was cRn ( Christiano Ronaldo). How can you make a player like CRN to sit on a bench Sir Fergie?
The old guard Giggs started the attack with a superb header, but I give the full credit of that goal to Kleberssons' great run. That was simply amazing. The legendary RvN chipped in with his trademark goal, mind you that he was all there to help Rooney score goals. The teenager obliged.

I could not watch some of the other matches on Thursday early morning.

AC Milan won 2-0 against celtics,
Chelsea won 3-1 against last yr champions Porto,
Barca won 3-0.

I was a bit disapointed that Gunners could only manage to draw their match.

Champions league is getting hotter.

They have done it again!!!!

Yeah, Real Madrid have done it again. They lost 1-2 to Athletic Bilbao. I was out of Banglore for Saturday and missed lot of sporting action in the weekend.
Real lost their 2nd Spanish League match.
Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea manged to win the matches in EPL.
Everton pulled some blinder to climb to the 3rd slot.
AC Milan, after a loss, came back well and won the match against Lazio 2-1.

And, Ferrari continued the domination of F1 though Schumi disappointed a bit. But, what a circuit ..boyyyy...it was real tough to drive in those hair-pin curves and dangerous too.

History is Written by Victors errr...Survivors!!!!

27th of September , marks the birthday of Sardar Bhagath Singh. Every year 2nd October and 14th Noverber are celebrated all around the country with much hype , marking the birthdays of two so called " Freedom Fighters".
So, what did Bhagath Singh fight for? What did he die for? How many people can go and fight the enemy who is much more stronger than you? How many people can take the brave step of giving up life for the sake of ideals?

He has done all that and he isnt even remembered now. Our children are taught in textbooks that India got its freedom because of the sacrifces made by Mahathma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. So, what about the people who made it thier life's battle rather than sitting for Rountable Conferences and tea parties with the Britishers?

British could dare to kill Bhagath Singh and Chandrasekhar Azad. But why didnt they even try to injure Gandhi and Nehru?

Yes, they were never a threat to the Britishers. They could not stop britishers from looting the country, they never objected the way Britishers ruled the country and more over they "begged" Britishers to leave the country. So, Britishers found friends in then rather than foes.

The case of Bhagath Singh, ChandraSekhar Azad , Alluri Seetharama Raju and Veera Savarkar are different. They could have killed all the Britishers in the country. They could have got us independence much before 1947, they could have got independence to couontry which was not divided on a " Hindu -Muslim Bhai Bhai " notion, they could have got independence to a country without a J& K issue....and more importantly, they could have got independence to a Braver and Bolder India.

You cannot preach and practise Non- Violence when the other guy is bludgeoning you and draining you out. Ofcourse , he will leave you once he sucked all the life from you. But you cant afford to fool yourself that your enemy gave in to your perseverence and non-violence.

I would ve felt proud of being living in an Independent India that achieved Independence by the efforts of people like Bhagath Singh , Subhas Chandra Bose, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Chandra Sekhar Azad and Veer Savarkar.

Yes, the history is written by survivors who are just like any other human being. They have their own Prejudices.

Conditioned to accept sleaze

The great Times Of India is successful in making the urban population accept sleaze as a part of daily lives. The aptly names editions " Bangalore Times", " Hyderabad Times" etc are nothing less than any tabloids. They already have mags like "Filmfare" " Femina" etc from the same publishing house which are dedicated to sleaze and soft porn. But, this great publishing house is in the hunt for more by making people believe that it is actually not sleaze.
It came to such levels that people dont like TOI yet they dont have any other option.
The Hindu which can be called a Newspaper is Chennai centric and you dont find it covering the news around your localities.Again, many other bignames in the paper industry lack something or the else. This helped the TOI to penetrate its roots into the urban life. On a personal level I stopped looking at this paper for the past 2 months. There is hardly any news.

The Central govt presents budget and this paper comes out with Bollywood parodies to analyse the budget. They come up with brillaint ideas like " Do you think it is time for Saching Tendulkar to retire from Cricket?" " Do you think Bipashabasu and Mallika Sherawath should be awarded Bharath Ratna for their generosity of showing skin?"

As one of the communist leaders has put it " Media is supposed voice the concerns of people reg various social issues". We have media such as this on one side and a Congress govt on the other side . Added to it is the " I am cool " generation which only knows about Bryan Adams , LOTR, Harry Potter etc... You talk about social issues to any urban youngster and he would say " Hey Chill man, why do you bother about those f***ing issues. Chill and enjoy your life "

I think India deserves something better than this.

Strange!!!!

Yeah, it is really strange. People write update their blogs when they can take out sometime ffrom their busy routines. But, I feel like writing here when I am too much caught up with work, when there are many unfinished things and when people are waiting for something to come from me. At this moment, my boss is waiting for two reports and a ppt from me. In the middle of preparing that ppt a thought stuck my mind " why dont I write something on the blog?" and here I am. My mind might be looking for variety other than the monotonus excel sheets and outlook mailers.

I just read about the IIML student who committed a Suicide , supposedly, while experimenting different ways of hanging self. Ofcourse my heart feels for his family but I was a bit stunned at the conception of his idea, though none knows what prompted him to take such grisly decision.
May his soul rest in peace.

The BCCI is in the lookout for a channel which can broadcast the coming Ozzie tour. I have a piece of advice for them. Why dont they setup a "benami" channel for ESPN -Star and give them all the rights. Howz the idea???

Out! Out! the Ozzies are out!!!

You dont see this too often. That too a team, which is drubbed by the Aussies some consecutive 14 times , thrashing Aussies out of Champions trophy. It is actually good for Aussies. They will come back with vengence like a hurt lion. Indians beware.
Ahoyyy, Pakis are out of the trophy. I am actually happy about it. They played like fools.
Now we are going to witness a final between boring Englishmen and the underdogs WestIndies.
I expect WestIndies to zip past the Englishmen.

This series tells us something interesting that the teams from the Subcontinent are the most inconsistent and unreliable. You never know how they approach their game.
Ozzies lose their games only when the opposition plays better than them. But in the case of the teams from the subcontinent, it is the 2nd worst player who wins. Simply put, they lose because they play the worst possible cricket. They dont lose matches because the opposition played some better cricket.

Enough of this Cricket....now back to Football...

Real Madrid is back to winning after the 1-0 win in Spanish League, but the class was really missing. They need to do somethinking about what actually is missing.
Another warnign to the Real that Valencia's win over Deportivo that too a 5-1 win is something alarming.
Come on Real Come on!!!

You dont see this often!!!

Yes, you dont see England beating Australia in Cricket that often. England drubbed the Aussie Jaggernaut with a comprehensive victory.Australia is out of Champions triphy and the boring English will play the winner of Windies Vs Pakis match.
Is this loss one of those rare aberrations or a beginning to the end of Aussie domination? Though I dont think it is the latter. The so called 2nd best oneday team , I meant India , is already out of the championship and now it is the turn of the best team in the world.
I pray for Windies to come to finals and thrash England in the finals. To be frank, I want Pakis to be out of the tournament ;-)
Tradition tells us that England will not win the finals. So, either Windies or the Pakis will be the new Champions.

Real Saves Face

Huh, finally Real Madrid did not manage to lose against another "also ran" team. They won the match 1-0 with the help of a trademark Beckham free kick but the class was not there. They played like any other club. They should have scored atleast 5 goals against such teams, such is their class. Waiting for them to play atleast 70% of their potential, no other team is even 50% of their potential.

Come on Real .....

Is it Real???????????????????

Yet another defeat in the hands of Spanish league minnows. Yes, it happened again. The great RMFC ( Real Madrid Football Club) lost 0-1 to Espanyol. They dont have Zidane and Figo this time but what was the need to play Michael Owen in place of Raoul. Raoul was made to sit on the bench as a penalty for the defeat against Bayer Leverkusen. Silly, I would say.

Adding insult to the injury, two players were sent off leaving only 9 members to play. Hardly they had any players who can make some difference. Zidane, Figo, Raoul, Morientes ( though he was sent in after the 65th min) missing. Hell with Beckham and Michael Owen, Ronaldo is left without any support from any side.

I think it is hightime they realise that a bunch of legendary stars dont make a great team. They need to play upto their potential. You can not lose against sides like Espanyol.
What is happening to this great club which has won the UEFA Champions League for a record number of 9 times.

Zidane, Ronaldo, Raoul, Figo, Morientes...I want to see all of them at their rocking best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Red are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya...ManU is back to winning matches. The win against the arch rivals Liverpool is a good confidence booster for Sir Alex's team which has been in a lean patch this season.
This guy Christina Ronaldo shows lot of promise. I think he is another RvN in the making. He is not hyped like David Beckham or Michale Owen but he has superb skills which are really awesome. Though not an ardent fan of ManU I like players who really are a class apart. There are two from this ManU team.
The nice Rudd Van Nistelrooy and Christian Ronaldo. People might talk about Smith, Rooney or someone else but these two are class aprt. It might be that their Dutch and Portugal origin has to do with it.

Expecting ManU to continue their roaring form so that we can watch a great Arsenal Vs Manu match....boyyyyy....it will be a joy to watch....

Giant Killers!!!!

After Real madrid it is the turn of Gunners to put a stupid show. Taking nothig away from the J J Okachas' men, Gunners have really disappointed. They could have defended better and converted more.

To me Henry looked like a student who missed some real sitters in the Quant section of IIM CAT.He had the goal post open infront of him and he missed it. HTH....usuallu he never misses such opporutnities but this time he did. Another bad ploy was not playing Dennis Bergkamp from the beginning. He should be ther in the midfield. The triangle Henry - Dennis - Pires works so well that they would have ended up scoring some 5 goals.

But I need to come to terms with reality. Gunners could not win the game. Expecting them to come with their guns blazing in the next match. They will neway.

It was another poor show by our so called Men in Blue at the ICC Champions Trophy. They succumbed like lambs. I dont know what happened to Viru...but sure marriage has slowed him a bit. So, India is out of the ICC Champions trophy. Good, they can ponder over the defeat and come up with some strategy for the upcoming Australia's tour of India.

Waiting for Tuesday. EPL match b/w ManU and Liverpool with ManU really in a bad touch and Liverpool doing reaonably well. But this time there is a new star in the EPL, Bolton Wanderers has become a force to reckon with this time. This man J J Okacha with his skills is really looking good.

ICC Champions Trophy - Who are these Champions????

The UEFA Champions League Football is aptly named because only the top teams from all the Europen leagues get to fight with each other. On the contrary, the ICC Champions trophy hailed as the mini world cup ( which Mini do they refer to???) is a mere time waste for some teams like Australia. They get to play with teams like USA during the tournament. What a waste of time??
If ICC wants to globalise cricket, let them first save it from dying in the very nations where it has a status equal to religion.

Teams like Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, USA ( Kenya is far better than these teams) just work as speed breakers in a knock out tournaments. Let there be some sense prevail at ICC and withdraw that Test Playing nation status to Bangladesh, Kenya deservers that status rather than Bangladesh. But, Bangladesh is in a region where Cricket is more than anything else.

My heart sinks at the idea of losing interest in the game of Cricket, but Indian team sans Sachin seems to turn my nightmares into reality.

A Real Dud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was one of those very hard things to digest. Real Madrid losing 0-3 , that too , to a mediocre club like Leverkusen. As they started signing these bloody english players ( I should say Overhyped Brits) , they started losing to small teams. I dont see any dying need to signup Michael owen as they are already paying the price for one mistake of signing up the overhyped Beckham. Why do you need to a Michael Owen when you have Ronaldo , Raoul in the front. Okey, Raoul is out of form and age is catching up with Figo. But, arent there any better choices than these Brits. It still hurts me that they lost 0-3 , they couldnt even score a goal though they have all the stars. Yes, one drop of poison is enough to harm a tankful of Honey.

Hope they will come up with some stunning performances in this season.

Expecting to see some great football from RMFC, AC Milan and Arsenal prove a point in Champions League this time.

How could I forget about the recently announced Sports Awards?

The Lady, Anju Bobby George has been awarded the "highest " sporting award.
Rajiv Khel Ratna, I still dont understand what a "worst ever" prime minister of India has to do with sports. They couldnt even get the name of the award right.

The govt is just desperate to show that it cares for sports and recognises sporting talent.
Does anyone still remember "Jyotirmayi Sikadar"?

And, the govt insulted a sporting Wizard ( sachin) by giving this award. It had been great if they name the award " Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna " or "C. K. Naidu Khel Ratna".

India( err..the bloody Congress govt ) will never come out of that Nehru family mania. They behave as though this family has done some great things for the country. How sad it is that a country with millions of years of History has only one family to represent it?

It is difficult for me to stop this temptation of talking truth.

Without any offence to the Lady ( Anju), these awards have become a farce. It is better India stops participating in Olympics for some 2 times and ponder over the situation. But there is no hope as far as there are the so called Secularist and Democratic govts.

A small observation, this single family worship might be from the Colonial mindset , courtesy the British. They worship a bunch of jokers and flirts ( Charles and Diana...dont think any need to clarify) as Gods. Yeah, ofcourse they are the most advanced country on this face of the earth...arrey bhai yeh earth kya hotha hai????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Football all the way!!!!

Some sensible article about the European Football.

http://in.rediff.com/sports/2004/sep/10footspin.htm

Oh, before that let's discuss the Wayne Rooney transfer. Lots of money, good player. No issue. Call him the new Pele? BIG ISSUE! That's like a Roberto Carlos free kick in your solar plexus. You fools, can you see the colour of his skin? Have you ever seen him juggle the ball? Have you ever seen him dance with the ball? All he can do is one touch, two touch, boom. Does the grace of the samba look like potatoes and beef or fish and chips to you? Fools!
It looks like Manchester United are resorting to the Rednecks. Pun intended. First Alan Smith, with a racist background of attacking Asians, and now Wayne Rooney. An unmissable match with Bolton's Jay Jay Okocha and Hendrik Pedersen looking brilliant as well. Don't miss it.

Makes sense, doesnt it???

Any ordinary football follower would know what this kid is upto. The hype surrounding his transer is just another marketing gimmick.

One of my fav clubs Real Madrid ( RMFC) is behind many english players these days. Their glory is that they are great without these much hyped english players. What could a Beckham do in the last season? A team that has Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo and Raoul ( now Morientes coming back) doesnt need these rednecks. It is better they try to signup Rudd Van Nistelrooy by the time Figo and Raoul retire.

Census Nonsense!!!

There is a lot of hullabaloo about the recent census report.
http://in.rediff.com/news/2004/sep/09census.htm

The Congress govt doesnt want to tell the world that India is the only safe place for Muslims to accumulate and enjoy the benefits of a Democrecy see no where else. The want to prove that the growth of this community actually declined during the so called Pro -Hindu BJP rule. On the flip side, Sangh Parivar is bothered about uniform birth controls for all the communities.

An Azim premji goes to US and they take him in customdy because of his name. None cares because US is a democrecy and their action makes sense because they are feeling insecure after 9/11.

You call a "muslim" a "muslim" in India and all the secularist and media are behind you. You committed an unpardonable sin. You are a "Fundamentalist"err...Hindu Fundamentalist.
The so called Secularist fuckers are more concerned about the safety of people who relish the victory of Pakistan over India, either it is Cricket or Hockey.

Recently, police arrested a muslim leader in Hyderabad for some illegal activities and the leader of that community threated Govt that they would destroy the city if the Police doesnt let out the "convicts".

A BJP stages a dharna for the arrest of Uma Bharathi and media , secularists call them Hindu Fundamentalists.

The great irony is that the same Hindu ( or would I say Indian) culture which taught us "Athithi Devo Bhava " stands as a helpless victim of the "Athithi". The world misunderstood the "universal Tolerance " taught by the great scriptures and sages as a mere passivity.

But, more disheartening is the treachery by the followers of the same faith. All the upholders of this so called Secularism are Hindus and they dont bother about the damage they are doing to the great religion and its followers.

My heart shudders at the very thought that a day will come when you need to take the permission of Animal Rights activists to travel on a road so that you wont hurt any animal.

This might seem a very farfetched and absurd idea but it follows the same logic of Minorities.

Life @ 5 Kmph.......

Yes, neither did I miss any numbers beside 5 nor you overlooked it. It is only "5" Kmph. There is an 8 KM stretch from Silk Board to Electronic City in the IT -Capital Bangalore. More than 20000 techies travel on this road regularly, all at the same time. Addded to this is the normal traffic and this is a highway connecting Tamilnadu.

So, the time slots 7:30 AM to 10 AM and 5 PM to 8 PM are high speed zones. I am one of those bike freaks and love to come to office on my bike, a ride of 18 Kms one way. Lot of things happen on this road. The private carriers try to attract the commuters by going slow on the left, the company vehicles ( those that carry the techies...) try to zip through to reach their destinations early, cars try to maintain their dignity and two wheelers ( the new age Power Bikes) just sneak in the gaps and vroom. Wait.......you can go in the top gear only for some 10 meters or so. If you are a very good driver you can manage the speed at 10 Kmph.

Everyday I look at my bike and feel sorry for it. A 125 CC cruiser going @sub 10 Kmph. Am I doing justice to my cruiser? How much load am I putting on the engine by not going in the top gear?? The drive almost takes 35 min from Silk board to my office and this strtch is like desert. More than 20 min you spend standing still and there is nuthing to look around. All the beautiful gals take the company buses and you rarely get the glimpse of a dame riding a vehicle :-(
I spend my time admiring some of the beautiful cars I get a chance to look at. I waste almost 45 min in the morning and evening everyday in this manner.

Finally, I am decide to keep away from my sweetheart(...Bike) in the weekdays and take the company bus so that I can sit back and read some book for that 45 min.....and get a glimpse of those very few dames that I can find in the bus ;-)

Monkey Business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monkey...I think it is one of the very few animals I like. One monkey created scene in my office cafeteria in the morning. Our office buliding is surrounded by a Teak plantation and some empty fields. The Cafeteria is in the 4th floor of the building.

There were people in the cafeteria having their breakfast. As usual , I was savouring my breakfast and suddenly heard a shriek , a gals voice. I just turned around to see a simian savouring a Vada and a gal with here face turned pale. It finished the Vada and went off. Good to see a simian having breakfast in our cafeteria.

Whenever I see a mokey, it reminds me of my Kindergarten school days. My school was very big and had a nice campus. One side there was river Godavari and the other three sides were occupied by beautiful gardens. It had many tamatrind trees located at random places. The play ground was awesome with very good playing equipment.

A big group of simians used to reside in the surrounding trees and used to interfere in our daily lives. Many of my classmates used to lose their sanck bowls to some of the rogue simians. They used to scare us the tiny tots and snatch away eatables. We were not any less, I used to hurl stone at them try to scare them.

One day it happend that I was successful in scarring a little monkey and my friends were all praises for my bravado. I went home and bragged about it. My mom warned me to be careful because the little monkey might come back with its gang and try to take its revenge. I just didnt bother about it.

Next day I went to school as usual and when I came out of the class in the break......I just turned pale. Man, was I scarred like hell??? Yes, there was this little monkey with all its gang , waiting for me to come out in to the play ground. I just ran back into the class and told my teacher about it. My teacher laughed at it and asked some staff to chase those simians out of there. Somehow, they could chase that group out of the campus that day.

I didnt want to go to school the next day....errr...I was scarred. But, I had to go to and somehow I managed to avoid those simians. Good that God gave short memory to those simians. For another 2-3 weeks I just shivered at the sight of a monkey. My parents and my brother used to scare me talking about simians. Somehow I came out of that Simian-phobia and started liking the animal. Probably because of its similarity to human beings.

Of Chivalry and Gentlemanliness

Gals, Ladies...Women............Almost everything revolves around them.
You see news articles claiming that the atrocities against women are going up and things that our friendly HumanRights Commission fellow doing to fight against these.Sometimes you feel that you have been very decent to gals or ladies or women when compared to some millions of others. You just think that all those people who are committing such things are either perverts or out of their senses. Think of those poor women who go through such hell silently because somehow they cant rebel against it.

If you are working in an IT company where fair sex is a minority, people just drool at gals whoever is around. The amount of attention, respect and popularity gained by a gal working in the Knowledge industry is enormous. People respect you, they do things for you, they listen to you when you talk and more over eveyone is a Gentleman, barring some exceptions( err...do I say barring people who are frank? ;-) )

There are hardly 300 people working in my office building and hardly some 30 people know me and talk to me. But, almost all my female team members are famous here. People keep asking me you are in the same team "that" gal is in and I listen to some remarks like " your team is quite colourful " ( yeah.....unfortunately I am in a female dominant team ;-) ) People keep walking around my bay just to get a glimpse of my team mates, they come and talk to them about various things... I get serious doubts like " why cant he talk to me like that?"...sometimes ...some guys go to the extra mile and start sending fwds to these gals...most of the guys I know dont even bother to send those fwds to me ..but they take extra pain to find out the names of my female colleagues from the Global Address list and save them. And, they are really very nice to these gals,...boy...I coudnt believe my eyes when I see them so nice....because it is something new to me..I get thouoghts like " huh...i never knew that this guy is so nice"...

And , their chivalry is just great. Holding doors, giving way, stepping aside and giving them place in the queue...what not. Sometimes I feel envious of these gals, I get weird thoughts like what would it be if I were a gal.... ;-)

If one of my colleagues ( male....) sees me sitting at my desk at 1 :00 PM his remark would be " khanan nahi khaneka hai kya?"...but the same collegue ..if he sees a gal sitting at her desk at the same time , his remark would be " hey, rnt u going for lunch??? what happened? "...he will start a conversation......am I too critical here????

I dont know what to call it......but these things come naturally. One cannot train himself to be Chivalrous and Gentlemanly to gals , ladies , women or whatever. I tried my best and failed at it...it just doesnt happen. I talk to gals the same way I talk to guys, I treat them on par with other guys. I think the gals who are working with me are just as capable as I am. They can open their doors, can stand in long queues at lunch and do thier things on their own. Treating them differently ( err...with resepct and decency ) would be discriminatory I think ;-)

I am the advocate of Gende Equalities and Women Empowerment ;-)
But , I found out something that there is no need to Empower these Urban gals , ladies or women....they are already Powerful..they can make things happen for them ;-)
They always have someone at their disposal to do thigs for them.
Way to go....my daughters will be luckiest that they would be living in the 21st Century, the Era of Gentlemen ;-)

Movies in Bangalore

2 years back when I came to Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka state, there were dozens of theatres showing Telugu movies. I could watch a new movie every weekend, a brand new movie every Saturday. Sometimes I used to watch 2-3 movies in the weekend, such is my appetite for Telugu movies.
The Krishna govt tried to restrict the number of non-kannada movies and to promote Kannada industry. So, the number of Telugu movies I could watch got reduced.Seriously, I dont like watching movies in a TV or Computer.

Now, due to the protest by the Kannada industry there are no new non-kannada movies in Bangalore. They want to promote Kannada films by putting restrictions on non-kannada ( errr...good movies) movies. They think that if not left with any option people will watch Kannada movies. How silly???

There is not even a single good looking heroine in Kannada industry..let alone heros...( shall I say " orangutans"?)..some pretty bangalore lasses like Namitha,Rakshitha etc head to Telugu and Tamil industry for better opportunities. When their own gals think that their industry sucks, how can they expect Andhraites and Tamilians living in Bangalore ( who constitute more than 50% of Bangalore population by some statistics...) to watch Kannada movies? err...how many Kannadigas watch Kannada movies???? ;-) and in Bangalore.....most of the people watch only "Angrezi" movies...hey...Bangalore is a cosmo...even kids talk to their mothers only in English...how can u expect these new age kids and moms to watch Kannada movies...???

This reminds me of a scene I witnessed in a Temple.

I go , almost every weekend, to the Sri Venkateswara temple in J.P.Nagar with my cousins. Though I am a forced goer there, I like that temple somehow. Oneday I was sitting outside the Sanctum with my cousin and I saw a tiny tot beside supposedly his father. The father was explaining him how to pray to the Lord. In his words

" son, pray, pray ...

oh Lord , please bless me etc..."

I burst out laugning...........

they looked like a kannada family....they are in a temple...and he is talking to his kid in English...
hmmmm...that is how Bangalore is..................

there are many people in Bangalore who prefer to watch "The Rock walking Tall" or Van Helsing( two of the bullshit english movies ..as far as I am concerned ...) rather than watching a Mani Ratnams' " Alay Payuthe" or Upendras' " H2O"( i liked this movie..it has some real stuff..though the presentation is a bit awkward)....

Let God help these Kannada film makers and make them realise that Bangalore is not a part of Karnataka as far as Movies are concerned...

I pray God for the release of many new Telugu movies in Bangalore...............................

The Olympic Medal

Finally, an Indian wins a Silver Medal in Olympics after Independence. It reminds me of my Principals' question after I won an Inter College debate competition. The competition was big and we never expected any prize at all. But, everything fell in place for me and I ve dont well to win the debate. When I showed the prize to my principal ..his reaction was

" Good , but how many people did participate? Have you won because you are good or because others are worse than you? "

I was really psyched ...but a win is a win...

Olympic silver is something to be proud of...Congrats to the Winner.
I was watching the Hockey match b/w RSA and India y'day. 3 min are left in the first half and India was lagging behind by 2 goals. The defence was horrible...no player was marked , no strategy to defend. Suddenly, a great player comes to the rescue..yes Dhanraj Pillai scored a blinder and Indians got some boost....soon the score was 2-2. I was thinking abt the Olympic glory of pre Independent India. 6 Consecutive Olympic golds, none could match that ability.
3 min are left in the match...again the great player comes to the rescue...with his fluency, he made the other two goals possible.

So, it clearly proves that..whatever is the game or sport, the class players are always in the league of their own. They make the game look very smple, they just make things easy when others struggle to do anything...Hats off to that Talent.

Sachin has to bat the entire 50 overs

Our dear skipper sahab wants Sachin to bat through the 50 overs. I have a suggeston for our skipper. BCCI is very rich ala the football club Real Madrid. So, we will also buy either Matt Hayden or Ricky Ponting and make them play for India.

Then, Sachin and the other player will bat through the 50 overs and our Skipper can go for Ad shoots...errrr...all the other 9 players can go out and shoot for Team Samsung or Team LG.

Idiot Box

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
At last I could convince my elder brother to get an idiot box into the house. I bought a new Sony Wega over the weekend and it entered with a bang. A nice telugu movie to start with, next 2 days witnessed a ManU Vs Chelsea EPL match and the Invincible Schumi in Hungary. Now this insomniac has a company to stay awake. I missed TV a lot for all these days as I am staying away from home. Added to that, a room mate in the form of my elder brother could stop me for all these days. But, this time around I could convince him. His theory of Idiot box makes you lazy and listless couldnot stop me.

Ahoyyy! I got my CAT 2004 application form on Saturday. Not sure whether I will prepare for it..but I cant resist the tempation of writing CAT. This time I made one of my friends take the form for me ...luck factor...:-))).

I am sure the idiot box will reduce my reading time and activity time. I will be sitting and watching some or the other sport or a gulti movie rather than reading a book. But I need to read some good books I have with me.

Monday ... I am in my new office location. This is one of those typical Wipro Offices without Yahoo! messenger and MSN Messenger. I will miss most of my Chat friends. But the ambience is good, the coffee you get here is supposed to be the best among all Wipro Banglore offices. Even, Mr. Premji was surprised that this quality coffee is available here. His heart might have skipped a beat thinking that they would be spending extra money for this coffe. But, nothing is like a good coffee especially for a Teetotaller.

The drive from my home to this office is about some 15 Kms , including an 8 KM stretch on the Killer ( Hosur) road. Wipro has so many buses to this place, but I prefer to come by my bike. The ride was awesome this morning, I loved it.

Errr...need to catch up with some work now.....

Of Sports and Sporting Legends

The Master retires from International football

The great Zizu retired from international football. He wont be playing for French national team any more. Though we would see hin in Reals' team , we would miss him in the next Soccer world cup.
He is one of those class players who is very simple and humble. He is not over hyped like a David Beckham, but his greatness was underrated in non-football circles. That trademark header is a joy to watch and the way he can change the game is incredible.

We definitely will miss one of the class players in International Football.

The Champion Keeps Going

Hungarian Grand Prix..and it will be another win for Michael Schumacher. As there is lot of noise going on about Jenson Buttons' move to Williams next season, this grand prix will be very interesting to watch. Though McLaren is looking good, Kimmi has to pray for some luck in this race. Anticipating another Ferrari whitewash......

The weekend would be great with some EPL Football action and the Grand Prix...

Ohhh....I forgot completely about the Kick Off of Olympic Games....being an Indian what can I talk about Olympics. Hope our Hockey team tries to Salvage some lost pride. Atleast a Medal for more than one billion people.

Double Taxation - The Azim suggestion

I dont know what is there in Mr. Premjis' mind when he suggested the Karnataka Govt to increase the professional tax on IT workers by 100% because they are earning " handsome" salaries. Why cant he pay 70% tax on his income because he is one of the richest in India?
He talls the govt that by doing this they can improve the tax collection. Yeah , Mr. Premji is correct. IT workers cant hide their incomes like politicans and the tax can be cut directly from their salaries.

Mr. Premji wants sops for IT industry but wants his employees to be taxed. How sad???
It is time to move from this much Hyped IT industry.....

The great Indian Inferiority Complex

May be centuries of foreign rule is the cause for this that we as Indians always think that the so called " White" are superior to us. It is not people who are illiterate and unlearned but those who are highly educated and learned feel inferior to average whites. We compare whatever we do against the standards of the west, we aim to match the quality of the west in whatever we do.
Right from school poems to university education, we are obsessed with the west. Though we learned english from the British, we try to speak english like Americans do. Let us look at various aspects of this "aping".

India has a rich cultural heritage which gave us lot of literary and aesthetic works which are non paralled in human history.

How many of the kids( even youngsters ) know that there is something called " Panchatantra " which teaches various aspects of living in society? But they know Aespos tales which never match this great Panchatantra.

How many of us even bother to listen to our Classical Music let alone appreciating?
But we head bang to Metallica, swing to the music of Santana, Bryan Adams etc....

Hollywood makes a crappy movie starring a female nothing more than an Anorexic and dressed in pushup garments...tells us that it is the real story of some Erin Bro......( I dont know the spelling)...announces an Oscar.
We say that the movie is " awesome"( this word is peculiar to Bangalore..there is nothing good or bad..only " awesome" or "sad") and Julia Roberts is the most beautiful woman on this face of the earht.

A Mani Ratnam makes a movie like " Nayagan" or " Agni Naksathram" ...and we say that the movie is ordinary and our industry should look upto Hollywood to make movies.

It is not only movies...ask any youngster about his/her fav dish. You get a reply which will surprise you. You start thinking whether his/her mom makes any Indian dish at home.
We like to go to Pizza Huts or KFCs regulary though the food you get there is not worth the money you pay for it.

How many of us read books written by Indian Writers? Are we well versed with the literary works compiled by many great sages aeons ago? We say that they are old fashioned and not relevant to the present times.
We flock to bookstalls to buy LOTRs' and Harry Potters which are nothing but fantasy. There are some umpteen number of Indian books containing better fiction. We never bother to read them as we cant tell our friends about it. They will look at you as someone cheap and uneducated.
Many argue that language is the barrier. Most of the literary works here are in Sanskrit and not many people know it. Are we born English? Havent you learned english as another language?
Ofcourse, learning sanskrit is a bit tougher than learning English.
Then, how many of us read books written in regional languages and our mother tongue.

The word mother tongue reminds me of a funny conversation I had with one gal.
I met this gal in one of the trainings in my prev org. We were talking about different languages and I asked her about her mother tongue. Here is the reply
" well...ummm...actually...I dont have a mother tongue. The only language I know is english"
I asked her whether english is her mother tongue
" well...ummm...not exactly......"

I almost burst out laughing...how is that possible?...I thought abouot it for some time and left it at that stage.

Yea, liking some of the things or all the things which are western is not wrong. Diff people have diferent tastes and some of us might like things which are not Indian. But, aping others blindly is worse than any other form of depravity. We should never forget what we are and where we came from. If we dont know about ourselves and try to be like somone else...we lost our identity and Individuality. Other might feel good that you like their things ..but they will not respect you because you dont have any individuality or orignality.

Most of the things I listed above make me think that we will lose our Indianness in the course of time. We might become another colony of US of A, a pool of people without any thing of our own, witout any identity....my heart shrinks at the very idea of that state.

Just we need to realise that " a civilisation or culture that survived centuries of foreign rule, centuries of looting ,centuries of other religious and cultural invasions is something we should be proud of. We need to have self respect to respect out traditon and culture. Even though you reach great heights in a foreign land, you are a stranger there. "

To respect others and like others, you need to repsect yourself and like yourself. Anything else will be just " aping".

Nostalgia

It's really great to see your old friends after a long time and spend some time with them recollecting the events of those old days. I met few of my engineering friends in the course of the weekend. I met some of them almost after some 3 years....and we spoke about those college days...it is really amusing....

all those days i was in college, i used to dream about my job and my work...i was eager to work and learn real things....

but now, I think about those days and wish that had lasted forever....the joyful days will never return.........wittisms' in classes, sarcasm towards the profs, who cares attitude, those regular " get out of the class " diktats from some of the irritated lecturers, those manipulations in Labs ( I never got any graph properly, i used to draw the graph and mark the points ..:-D..)...and those gyaan sessions by some of the successful and talented seniors....

and gals....my class never had a good looking gal atleast....so, we used to go to other classes sometimes ...in the name of meeting some frns in other classes...though everone knows the reason.....

and the amount of leg pulling ...it never had any limits...even some generous profs were victims of this ....

and the skits on annual fests....we used to spend days to pen down the scripts..select the cast....reharsal.....

those all skits were superhits in college and we used to get lot of compliments from the profs' and expecially Juniors ( read as Junior gals .. ;-)...)...

for the first one year these junior gals used to call us " Sir "....it was funny man...really funny.....

there is no end to these little sweet things......i was bound by a sense of nostalgia for the entire Saturday.....and ended it with a dinner in Pizz Hut with cousins.....though admired a gal waiting outside for most of the time....

Sunday :

hmmmm.....missed badmintion and swimming....slept off till 10 AM....

got a call frm cousin asking y I was missing.....hmmm....spent some 3hrs playing Carrom with cousins....and headed to the so called Southindia restaurant " Malgudi " on Outer Ringroad....
Lunch was not that great but okey there....not upto the hype....

but the evening ended on a high with Arsenal and ManU match....Community shield match...

that was really great....a matcg worth watching....my fav Arsenal won hands down against arch rivals ManU.....

cudnt get sleep in the night as usual....but had to sleep to wake up on a Monday Morning..thinking about another monotonous 5 day strectch......

Of "F" words and "B" words

Gone are the days of "stupid", "idiot", " bloody fool". I dont think any one uses the word "scoundrel" any more. It is the same with even Rascal.

The new genration has found new ways of abusing...there are better words to express anger and disgust. People used to utter words like "oops", "shuks", " oh my goodness" to express annoyance ....
but times chaged a lot...from British english to we graduated towards American English...not only the way we dress , do business and think...but the way we use our language is also influenced by the one and only US of A.

What do you utter even when something falls from your hands???? no doubt the golden four letter word "F***".I would recommend the speech of the great Osho on this word. It is use in anger, despair, distress, surprise and even when you are happy. This word adds itself very comfortably with other words as in f***ing bast***, f***ing a**ho**....there are so many of this genre....

It is really surprising to listen all these uttered by many gals to a guy like me who came from a small time town. But , Bangalore is a cosmo. No offence to anyone...this is the only big city I ve seen for more than 2 years.

I have seen most of the guys using only "f" word mose of the time and they ve a diff lingo for diff things. But the urban gals ve a very unique lingo which comprises of "bitch", "basta**", "SOB", MFs.....the liste is endless....the more you use these words the more aggressive and bold you are.
They associate boldness and outspokenness with these words....

To them, every other gal they dont like is a "bitch", every other guy they dont like is either "basta**" or " SOB"....I think an overdose towards the fair sex....err...lets take a break...

we stopped using words like nonsense and rubbish....we use crap and fuc*all.....

I was talking to a gal whom I know about a traffic jam and the word used to describe that jam was " Fuc*all" traffic jam....sounds really good...isnt it?

But I really wonder about onething....do they really know the meaning of the words they speak....words like " bastar*", "MF", "SOB"......or do they really mean those?

It is the new world and it is going to be newer.....and think many more words will join the above list....

last but not least.....which word do you use to disagree with someone....??????

"balls".....i really dont know how this word came into existence.......

Friendshipday.......errr.....what do I call it?

Good that 31st August was a Saturday. I saw my cell phone chirping at random intervals on Saturday night. I was surprised to see messages from people I never bothered to talk to, wishsing me Happy Friendshipday. Most of them are just strangers to me, I dont even talk to them regularly. Then , one idea struck my mind...let me see how many of my really close friends send this message. But, I didnt send any message to any of my friends. So, do I expect any mesasage from them????....Blank...Man...I never bothered whether my friends wished me on that night , because I know friendship doesnt need all these things.

I started thinking what exactly is this idea of friendship. I felt really strange to think of one person whom I can call a very good friend., because a friend is someone who knows you in and out. wait.....is my definition of friendship correct????...Many people esp in Bangalore,...call whoever they know "friends"...err I am not talking about that Series on Star World. I dont kow...I cannot call any one my friend just like that....because I attach some value to it and it is something beyond loafing around and freaking around.

You meet someone over a chat or online forum and suddenly he becomes your friend...BS....you dont even know an ioata about him/her. But, it is okey because people behave errr pretend nice with the people they dont know..and someone else recently gave me a gyan saying that you should not be selfish in Friendship.......BS...what is that Selfishness.......goddd....I get goose pimples to think about not being selfish.....someone( so called friend ) asks for your help and you are not in a situation to help though you can help....gawd...they start calling you selfish and conceited....

I give up....if it is helping and taking help in return which defienes friendship....we better call it Business rather than friendship.....I got confused thinking about all these things Friendship and Selfishness......

I am happy to breathe for my self and eat for myself....I can not breathe and eat for someone else.....

The Selfish.....errr most selfish.....I am proud of it........................

Chokers.....errr.....Choker leading other bunch of Chokers...............

Our great Skipper gave a paper statement day before the Asia Cup Finals. Mr. Ganguly said " we are not chokers". Yes, he is right. They are not chokers, but HE ...He is a choker...bloody...he is one of the reasons India lost in Asia Cup finals. Bugger, didnt have any idea what he was doing. Played 20 balls and made 4 runs.....increased the burden on Sachin....., the great wall played like a Hole in the Wall and went away cheap.....wat happened to all the promising youongsters..........all BS...

Now , I think the Indian Team is just overhyped....Sehwags, yuvrajs....nuthing but a bunch of over hyped youngsters like Wayne Rooney of Football.....they cant play .....they cant play any quality cricket.....

Every time people blame one and only great player for losing.....he was the one who was stranded without partners and put under some stupid pressure...

I see a conspiracy theory behind.....

If India had won y'day.....Sachin wud ve got all the name for his bowling and batting....and our skipper and Wall dont want it to happen....they think Sachin is becoming a legend ...lets put him down....bloody buggers.....they can lose a because they dont watn Sachin to get all the name.....

but onething they dont know...what ever happens...Sachin is already a Legend and nothing can change his status of being the Greatest Batsman of all the time...........................

Sponsors Decide Winners

What a match it was? India Won a thriller. Zaheer bowled a superb last over....these were the reactions of myriad number of cricket fans across the country. But, I think the match was fixed by the sponsors to bring India into finals. How could the empire miss the 3 wides bowled by Irfan pathan? How could a bolwler who gave away 45 runs in 5 overs gave only 6 runs in the last over?.....they are all debateable....but ....the buggers have fixed the match ..that is very clear....

I pray god that they dont play cricket here in Aisa. Everything is dictated by sponsors  and they care only abt money ...meanwhile ...none btothers abt the harm being doe to the game of Cricket.

Let alone Australia , NewZealand, England, WI, ...all non Asian nations play cricket....hell with these fixed matches...........................

Another Gulti ( telugu ) Movie

I happened to see a Telugu movie over the weekend..names Sree Anjaneyam ( in reference to the God Anjaneya). This is a shit of a movie to the "spiderman" and Hollynwood freaks. yeah, they think only Hollywood can make better movies. I beg to differ. The Tamil and Telugu industry has some great directors who can make really good movies.

Let me come back to the movie under discussion. The movies starts with the launch of a big water dam which will feed the villages around. But, as usual, a group headed by one village biggie tries to stop the dam citing various reasons ALA Medha Padgars, Arundhathi Roys...

Ofcourse the movie digresses towards some trivial things in the course of time, if you look beyind the scantily dressed heroine and dramatic bahkthi seens...there is much in this movie.
The dirty politics involed behind these water dams and the real intentions of people who claim that they are " Sangha Sanskrthas" or " Samaj Sevaks".

Though I was disappointed at the end of the movies that the Director could have done better to focus on the real issue rather than sentiments and bhakthi.

India Wins against Bangladesh

I could not control my laughter. It was funny. The headlines read " Sachin tames Bangladesh".
Man....how sick it is? You "tame" wild and strong  animals , but when you catch a rat or rabbit...do u call it "taming"??? :-))).....We dont need Tendulkars to win against Bangladesh. Any second rung team can defeat Bangladesh. Or is it that India came to such levels that they need all their star players to defeat Bangladesh?

Funny....or pathetic state of affairs I would say. Dravid plays against Srilanka and people make a god out of him for the fighting spirit he has, though we lose the game. Sachin plays against Bangladesh and people say " saching plays against only weak sides"......

I think I am hating cricket these days.....plzzzzz....show me some great cricket....cricket of some higher levels....not of teethless bowling attacks and " Ganguly , dravid" kinda batting...

I wish I were born  in the era of the great West Indian cricketing....I m dying to see Sir Vivian playing again....isnt he better than any batsmen now, though he is retired.....

The Funny Cup ( Aisa Cup)

The great game of cricket has become a cheap entertainment for masses. And , so called Asians are excelling in this art. The Asia cup.....haahhhaaahhhaaa......what level the game of cricket has come to? You dont watch such substandard cricket ever in life. On one side of the globe , Australians ans NewZealanders are playing a level of cricket which you dont see often, but that is soemthing good that is happening to cricket.

I dont understand what do they want to achieve by holding this fully series called Asia Cup. Including teams like Hongkong, UAE and Bangladesh. They dont even know the rules of cricket properly. I think my galli cricket is a better site to watch than this. And, the so called " Test playing teams ( what is there in playing....what matters is winning...)"...are worse than these new teams. Are they playing Cricket???? I was really disappointed the way India plyed in the first two matches.  The so called great players played some poor shots and the Captain ....huh...what has he had  in his mind??....They might win against Bangladesh and Hongkong...might go to the Finals and win the cup...but this will remain as the worst of the Series ever played in Asia.

Dying to see Australians in India.  Man.....watz happening to me....a die hard Sachina and India fan......losing interest in their game......
